About Our Summer Forest School
Welcome to Homestead Learning's Summer Forest School - where curiosity blooms and adventure awaits! Building on our trusted microschool foundation, we've created an extraordinary summer experience that combines the freedom of outdoor exploration with purposeful learning.
Our Program
Running Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 5 PM, our Summer Forest School offers an exciting one-week session from June 22 to June 26. Each day, young explorers ages 5–13 embark on carefully crafted adventures that spark wonder and foster deep connections with the natural world.
Our Approach
Just as with our regular program, our Summer Forest School embraces the philosophy of "Let Grow," allowing children to develop autonomy, resilience, and critical thinking through nature-based experiences. Each session weaves together:

• Natural art exploration
• Environmental stewardship
• Community building
• Child-led learning adventures
Daily Flow
Every morning begins with a nature welcome, followed by two engaging activity blocks with a refreshing snack break in between. Our small group size (maximum 20 children) ensures each child receives individual attention while building meaningful connections with peers and nature.
Our Location
Nestled at Prairie Sky Venue in Gillette, Wyoming, our outdoor classroom provides the perfect setting for summer exploration and discovery. From shaded learning spaces to open areas for nature play, our environment invites endless possibilities for growth and adventure.
Led by Homestead Learning's founding educators, Alison Brady and Jenna Walker, our Summer Forest School maintains the same commitment to quality, safety, and joyful learning that families have come to trust from our homeschool microschool program.
Whether your child is a regular Homestead learner or new to our community, our Summer Forest School welcomes all curious minds ready to explore, create, and grow in nature's classroom.

Tuition & Payment

$120 per child

Sibling Discount: $100 per child for 2 or more children from the same family

Payment is due within 5 days after camp enrollment has been submitted and accepted.

Summer Program Disclaimer:
Our outdoor summer program requires a minimum of 8 explorers to be enrolled for the week to proceed. If the minimum is not met, the week will be canceled and a full refund will be issued. Thank you for your understanding and support!
